Derek Phillips (born April 18, 1976 in Miami, Florida, United States) is the voice actor for Mark Jefferson, Samuel Taylor, Zachary Riggins and three minor characters in Life is Strange.

- The humor site cracked.com stated that the "Too obvious?" after Jefferson's revealing words from his lecture in Episode 1 was a note on the script that Derek accidentally read out loud.[1] This should be interpreted as humor as it is not otherwise confirmed. This also means that they were unsure if people would realise that Jefferson was the killer, thus ruining the twist.
- Hannah Telle (voice actor for Max Caulfield) says that the recording session with Derek for the Dark Room lines in "Polarized" (when Max is tied up on the floor) was "so creepy".[2]
