Hayden Jones is a student at Blackwell Academy in Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

He originally appeared in the first game, Life is Strange.

Personality

Hayden seems to be one of the more accepting students in Blackwell - popular, but nice to everyone he comes across. Although he didn't intend to be given a role in the play, and seems lack-luster in remembering his lines initially, he performs well during the final production. Hayden seems to be a nice boy, and is polite to Chloe during the times they interact.

Episode One - "Awake"

Hayden can be seen practicing for the school play, The Tempest, alongside Dana Ward. He has trouble understanding why Dana's character, Miranda, says that "[she has] no ambition to see a goodlier man" as his character, Ferdinand, had just told her he was seeing other women. Hayden took part in theater auditions as a dare but it turned out that he has actually some acting skills.

Relationships

• Dana Ward - When in the drama classroom in Awake, the two are both playing roles in The Tempest performance, Dana playing Miranda, Hayden playing Miranda's lover Ferdinand. Their relationship seems to be somewhat friendly but mostly neutral.

• Steph Gingrich - There's a letter in the school dressing room, the moment Rachel changes her clothes, stating that Hayden stole her pencils. Evidently, they can have a neutral relationship.

• Travis Keaton - Mr. Keaton reprimands Hayden for not training well for the play unlike Dana did.

Trivia

• Hayden really wants to be part of the Vortex Club in his senior year.
• Christopher Means wrote in his portfolio about the missing pencils that "Hayden purposefully [threw] them like darts into the ceiling."
