The Japanese localization of Life is Strange: Before the Storm including voice dubbing was released on June 7, 2018. According to the official listing on Square Enix's website, the game is priced at ¥3,800 (+tax) (about $36) in Japan for PlayStation 4, Xbox One (only digitally) and PC/Steam.

- The DLC language pack is only available on the Steam Store accessed from Japan due to licensing[1], unlike the original game's Japanese DLC, it can't be manually "registered" to download and use outside without a Japanese IP (Steam protocol link "steam://install/824500").
- The game has been rated "D (Over 17 years old)" by CERO.
