Chapter 1: Side A

Alex can find a calendar inside Rocky Mountain Record Traders, which show some tasks being assigned to "JW."

Chapter 2: Lanterns

Alex can find Jesse in the park with his boyfriend. He tells him that he has started writing a novel, but has no idea what he's doing. His boyfriend suggests taking a creative writing class together. Alex can read him, and he expresses worries about him dying a sudden death similar to Gabe Chen's.

Chapter 3: Monster or Mortal

Jesse appears as the jester outside of Gullweather's Tavern during the LARP. He makes several comments about the progress of Ethan and Alex's characters over the course of the LARP, and gives them a riddle to solve. When the riddle is answered correctly, he will give a useful hint as a reward. Regardless of the correctness of their answer, he will also allow them to take one gold coin.

Chapter 4: Flicker

Alex can find Jesse and his boyfriend at the Spring Festival. Jesse is telling him about an idea for the novel he's writing. Upon reading him, Alex learns that Steph and the LARP itself is responsible for this inspiration.

Chapter 5: Side B

Jesse posts on MyBlock stating that the record store is accepting applications for a possible replacement for Steph, who makes a comment in this post saying that she's "eyeing the exits."
