The photography lab, also known as the art classroom, is one of four main labs at Blackwell Academy. Mr. Jefferson holds his lectures in this room including a course called "The Language of Photography".[1] It is well-equipped with high-tech photography equipment and literature. It's likely also used for other art courses. The photography lab is a recurring explorable location in Life is Strange and the second featured location overall.
Episode One - "Chrysalis"[]
After having a disturbing dream about a storm destroying Arcadia Bay, Max Caulfield awakens in Jefferson's class in the middle of his lecture. The lesson finishes, leaving Max to explore the classroom if she likes. She returns to the classroom a short while later, having rewound time.
Episode Two - "Out of Time"[]
After spending the morning with Chloe, Max heads to the photography lab for Mr. Jefferson's class. The room is once again explorable during this time.
Episode Three - "Chaos Theory"[]
During Max and Chloe's night investigation at Blackwell, Max is able to visit the photography lab, particularly to find ingredients for a pipe bomb to open the Principal's office.
Episode Five - "Polarized"[]
After rewinding to the first day of the week, by focusing on the selfie she took during Jefferson's first class, Max finds herself again in the middle of his lecture.
The classroom is, later in the episode, featured again in Max's nightmare.
Optional Photos[]
During Episode 1, there is an optional photograph obtainable from the desk etchings on the desk opposite Max's.
During Episode 2, there is an optional photograph obtainable by standing behind Alyssa at the window, and snapping the shot.
During Episode 5, Kate Marsh may be photographed after speaking to her and reassuring her about the many friends and supporters she has.
During Episode 5, the desk etchings can once more be photographed after looking at them twice.

But I like it old school."
After: "My pencil case is still in the same place..." - She can look at her camera bag.Before: "My little camera bag is battered, but still kicking."
After: "Dammit, everything is the same!" - She can look at and take a selfie with her camera (required).Before selfie: "I do love my analog camera. I should take a quick picture now."
After selfie: "Sorry, Max. No more selfies right now."
After rewind: "Wowser, my old broken camera is new again..."
After the lesson finishes,
- Max can look at and use a computer.Look: "Obviously Blackwell spent bank on the computers here."
Use: "Looks like somebody was already working on this... cool."

After rewind: "There's no time to fuck around here!" - She can look at two different magazine covers."So cool to see Mr. Jefferson's actual published pictures. Gives me hope."

sweet ultrasonic lenses... and look at that vintage rangefinder! Want!"
After: "You better get to that bathroom!" - She can look at some books.Before: "So cool that we can check these out anytime... 'The Decisive Moment' by
Henri Cartier-Bresson. That's rare... Annie Leibovitz, mad respect... the amazing Eugene Smith...
good to see Avedon among the masters... Dali, of course... Lots of people I haven't heard of yet...
I guess that's why I'm here."
After: "That girl needs your help now!" - She can look at a poster for the Everyday Heroes Contest.Before: "Here's the poster for the contest... Mr. Jefferson really expects me to enter.
Why? I don't know if I'm ready for my 15 minutes of infamy."
After: "If I want to be an 'Everyday Hero' I better go save that girl!" - She can look at an HDTV.Before: "Man, he even has the best plasma HDTV for a class monitor.
Can't wait to watch some more documentaries on this bad boy."
After: "Stop this bullshit and go save that girl!" - She can look at a picture of the Arcadia Bay forest.Before: "Even in pictures, the forest around here always looks mysterious..."
After: "That girl is going to get shot, unless you go!" - She can look at a picture of the lighthouse.Before: "You can never escape the lighthouse here..."
After: "There's no time to fuck around here!" - She can look at Mr. Jefferson's camera.Before: "Whoa! Mr. Jefferson is not messing around with that monster. He probably paid 20 grand
for that camera... I bet he gets pristine digital images. But I still dig my little instant camera."
After: "Get going, Max, you don't have time!" - She can look at a crumpled paper ball.Before: "Now I wish I wouldn't have read this. Purge."
After: "What are you waiting for? Go!" - She can look at the window.Before: "I like this panoramic view of Blackwell. Everything looks so green and serene..."
After: "Everything looks the same... I feel like I'm in Groundhog Day... But this isn't funny." - She can look at Victoria's notebook.Before: "Even her schoolbooks are gift-wrapped. I can't believe she made fun of me in class.
What is she, fifteen years old? And people laughed..."
After: "That girl needs your help now!" - She can look at and use Victoria's tablet.Look: "Of course, Victoria has to have the bestest, newest, most expensive everything."
Use: "I should have known. She'll have better equipment than Blackwell."
