Raymond "Ray" Wells is the principal of Blackwell Academy.

He originally appeared in the first game, Life is Strange.

Episode One - "Awake"

When Chloe Price is dropped off at Blackwell Academy, she can have a Moment of Calm on the stage that is going to be used in The Tempest. After Chloe gets up, Principal Wells approaches her and reprimands her for sitting on the stage. Chloe can then engage in a backtalk challenge with Wells. Regardless of whether Chloe wins or fails the backtalk challenge, Wells walks away, telling Chloe that their conversation is far from over. Wells is seen one last time in the parking lot outside of Blackwell Academy talking with a police officer and James Amber. As the three are talking, James notices the forest fire.

Episode Two - "Brave New World"

The episode begins in Wells' office. He reprimands Chloe and Rachel Amber for skipping school the previous day. Rachel claims responsibility for their actions, causing Wells to take away her role as Prospera in The Tempest. If Chloe goes along with Rachel, she will be suspended. If Chloe takes the blame for Rachel by succeeding in a backtalk challenge, she will be expelled, but Rachel won't be removed from the play.

Episode Three - "Hell Is Empty"

Principal Wells can be seen watching Rachel and Chloe drive away from Blackwell in the ending montage. Rachel waves to him as Chloe holds up her middle finger. Wells simply shakes his head and walks away.
