The soundtrack for The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit consists of three licensed tracks by different artists. The main theme, Death With Dignity by Sufjan Stevens, plays during various key moments of the game.
Like for the original Life is Strange, the use of music was a key element of the development. Co-Director Michel Koch explained in the developer's diary on Captain Spirit, "It's not just about having some decent strikes in particular music, it's also how you're going to use it within the story."
Tracks
- Sufjan Stevens - Death With Dignity (Played during the intro, when Chris Eriksen gets out to the yard for the first time, when Chris reads the article about his parents relationship, when Chris reads the article about his mother's death, when Chris finds the treasure and during moment of calm in the tree house)
- Bat For Lashes - Moon And Moon (When Chris plays his mother's records in his father's room)
- Rone - Parade (Plays during the ending)
